Abstract:
A band-pass filter (51) extracts a Nyquist tone signal from the input signal and judges the level of the tone signal extracted by a power calculating section (52). A line equalizer control section (53) controls the line equalizer (42) according to the calculated level of the tone signal. A level adjusting circuit forced pull-in control section (54) forces the line equalizer control section (52) to do pull-in if the level of the tone signal varies beyond a predetermined range. If the device is judged to be in a normal communication state based on the level of the tone signal, the level adjusting circuit forced pull-in control section (54) makes the forced pull-in of the line equalizer control section (53) ineffective.
