Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a hard-decision decoding unit (10) which generates a first decoding result by performing hard-decision decoding of a polar code by using an input signal, and generates a first error detection result by performing a first error detection process on the first decoding result; a soft-decision decoding unit (11) which generates a second decoding result obtained for each decoding in sequential decoding, by performing the sequential decoding of the polar code on the input signal, and generates a second error detection result by performing a second error detection process on a result obtained by updating the first decoding result by using the second decoding result; a data selection unit (13) which selects and outputs the first decoding result or the result obtained by updating the first decoding result by using the second decoding result; and a control unit (12) which stops the soft-decision decoding unit (11) when the data selection unit (13) outputs a final decoding result.
