Embodiments of the present application provide a decoding method, an encoding method, a decoder, an encoder, and an encoding and decoding system. The decoding method comprises: obtaining an intra-frame prediction mode parameter from a bitstream, wherein the intra-frame prediction mode parameter is used for indicating use of an auto-encoder mode to determine an intra-frame predicted value; obtaining first feature information of a first current block from the bitstream, wherein an element of the first feature information is obtained by processing by means of binarization; obtaining a reconstructed value of a reconstructed pixel; and inputting the first feature information and the reconstructed value into a decoding network of an auto-encoder to obtain a first predicted value of the first current block. By means of binarization, feature information which is output by an encoding network of an auto-encoder and the data type of which is a floating point number is directly rounded and quantized, intra-frame prediction can be flexibly carried out, and it is beneficial to improving the video encoding and decoding performance and the video encoding and decoding efficiency.
