Abstract:
The present invention predicts the demand for vehicles with high accuracy, even when a method of using vehicles such as taxis is different from normal, for example, when an event occurs. This demand prediction device 10, which predicts the demand for taxis according to a mesh, is provided with: an acquisition unit 12 which acquires number-of-person information including information on the number of persons for each mesh at a plurality of points in time; a prediction model determination unit 13 which determines, on the basis of the acquired number–of-person information, a prediction model that is used for the demand prediction; a prediction unit 14 which predicts, by using the determined prediction model, the demand for the taxis from the acquired number–of-person information; and an output unit 15 which outputs information according to the result of the demand prediction.
