Abstract:

A deodorant which comprises a powder of an amine salt of a phosphorus-based inorganic acid having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 30 μm. The amine salt of a phosphorus-based inorganic acid is preferably an ammonium salt. A deodorizing article containing the deodorant, for example, an adhesive, a paint, a foamed material or the like can greatly reduce the release of formaldehyde from itself, and also can deodorize formaldehyde present in the environment.
