Abstract:
Provided are a roller bearing capable of testing a crowning easily, and a crowning designing method capable of saving time and effort for the design drastically. The optimum value (zm (μm)) of the drop quantity of the crowning at the end of the effective length of a roller (13) is determined by the following Formula (1) from the diameter (d (mm)) of the roller (13) and the effective length (L (mm)) of the roller (13): [Formula 1] 0.40(d + L) + 0.66 ≤ z m ≤ 0.46(d + L) + 1.03...(1). It is decided whether or not the drop quantities at a plurality of positions in the direction of a generating line are within the allowance range of the following Table 1 (A). The products can be easily tested on the manufacture line.
