Abstract:
A detecting device according to an embodiment of the present invention has a wind speed information acquiring unit, a load information acquiring unit, an estimating unit, and a detecting unit. The wind speed information acquiring unit acquires wind speed information indicating the wind speed at a prescribed position in a wind power electricity generator. The load information acquiring unit acquires load information for deriving a load to which the wind power electricity generator is subjected. The estimating unit estimates a wind speed distribution indicating a relationship between height and horizontal direction wind speed in the wind power electricity generator, on the basis of the wind speed information and the load information. The detecting unit: estimates a load acting on a blade unit of the wind power electricity generator on the basis of the wind speed distribution; calculates a sound deformation amount indicating an amount of deformation that should occur if the blade unit is sound, on the basis of the estimated load; and detects damage of the blade unit by comparing the sound deformation amount with an actual deformation amount indicating an amount of deformation of the blade unit measured by a measuring unit which measures the amount of deformation of the blade unit.
