Abstract:
This detection system comprises a passenger boarding bridge for connecting to a terminal building, a camera provided to the passenger boarding bridge, and an image processing device for detecting a boarding section of an aircraft from a captured image taken by the camera. The image processing device includes a search area image generation unit for marking off a prescribed area which includes a portion of the captured image to generate a search area image, and a search execution unit for performing a search of whether a boarding section exists within the search area image. The search area image generation unit generates search area images sequentially by moving the prescribed area from one end to another end in the longitudinal direction of the aircraft on the captured image; and the search execution unit uses a plurality of search area images created sequentially to search repeatedly while changing the search area image.
