Description:
DEVELOPED FISHERMAN CRANE WITH THREE DRUMS

TECHNICAL FIELD

Invention relates to a three drum crane used for drawing fishing net in fishing sector. The invention particularly relates to a three-drum fisherman crane providing fast and safe drawing of fishing nets at main board level without sliding.

STATE OF THE ART

Today majority of fishery is seine fishery. In seine fishery, simply fisherman boats cast their nets into sea and then draw them back. During this work, the most important part of the work is casting net and then drawing it back. Effective, fast and useful performance of said processes are considerably important for fishery sector. Drawing fishnets today is conducted by net rollers drawing net from a height.

Today the net cranes in use is drawn from a position at height above deck level. Net roller located at height is connected to crane boom by a number of locks. Any weakness that might occur in the locks results in falling of the net roller onto tens of fishermen working under it. It not only causes work accident but also danger of life loss.

Crane system used in the related art works considerably slowly. As essential work is casting the nets and drawing them back in the fishery, said slowness increases periods of operations considerably. Increase in operation periods in general increases fishing costs.

On the other hand, fishermen cranes used in practice at present require cast of entire network tools on the boat into sea. Said embodiment is not effective and feasible particularly when fishermen in our country casting generally half or one-third of net are considered. During patent search conducted for this purpose, no similar patent application is encountered and documents numbered TR 2006 04212 and TR 2010 04551 are related to the present art.

Document numbered TR 2006 04212 is summarized as “the invention is a fishnet drawing roller used for casting fishing net into sea, drawing it back and taking fished fish into boat in fishing boats. The roller particularly completely eliminates cases such as kinking of net onto roller during collection of ret, taking fished fish into boat during windy weathers. In addition, main machine hub that may rotate right and left in an uncontrolled manner is taken under control by this machine”. The invention discloses a system comprising three drums working at deck level to draw fish net.

Another invention related to the related art is the document numbered TR 2010 04551. This document summarizes as follows: “This invention relates to net drawing equipment for fisher boats; this equipment enables easy drawing of fishing net spread onto sea. This invention mounted onto fisher boat comprises net drawing equipment, a rotary device capable to rotate in horizontal direction, a driving shaft driven by an engine mounted onto a frame on end of said rotary device, pulleys separated into partitions by central plates mounted onto said frame and extending along axis of said driving shaft, auxiliary rollers mounted in slope onto lower end of central plates associated between said pulleys, and side plates mounted on associated sides of the nearest and farthest pulleys relative to driving shaft and one side fixed respectively onto said frame. Said document discloses a horizontal drum used for drawing fisher net. However, it does not disclose three drum system allowing drawing from deck level,

In conclusion, developments have been made in fisherman cranes and, therefore, new embodiments eliminating the above disadvantages and offering solutions to existing problems are needed.

AIM OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to three drum fisherman crane meeting the needs mentioned above, eliminating all disadvantages and providing some additional advantages.

Main aim of the invention is to provide a fast and safe embodiment capable to draw fisherman nets at deck level without sliding by providing novelty in crane system used in fishing ships.

Another aim of the invention is to disclose an embodiment providing winding net onto crane from desired point by help of openable upper cover and three-drum structure, thus casting net into sea or remove at desired place. Said system is provided by means of mechanical opening of opening covers.

Another aim of the invention is to provide safe drawing of net by means of a structure providing drawing of fishing net from sea at deck level, Thus work accidents resulting in material damage, injuries or casualties that might occur are prevented and safety of working area is enhanced. Another aim of the invention is to shorten operation period by means of putting needed part of three-drum fisher crane into sea and getting it back. Said embodiment eliminates necessity of putting entire net into sea and drawing back at all fishing points. Use of needed part of the net in a fast way reduces operation time considerably and increases efficiency. Thus general cost is reduced. Another aim of the invention is to reduce potential deformation to occur on the net thanks to rubber coated three-drum system and conduct of net drawing back faster again thanks to rubber coated three-drum embodiment.

In order to achieve all advantages mentioned above and to be understood better with the detailed description given below, the present invention is a fisherman crane for use in fish boats and containing a body fixed onto deck with a crane boom providing fast and safe drawing of fish nets at main deck level without sliding and having all operating members thereon, and drums housed in rotating manner on said body, fixed covers covering said drums and providing safe collection of the net and characterized in comprising cover connection forming connection point for opening closing cover system placed onto drum in the centre and at least two opening covers connected to cover connection, opening and closing when desired and mounted on the drum in centre. The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better in the figures given below and the detailed description by reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made based on the figures and taking into account the detailed descriptions.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS In order to make the embodiment and additional members being subject of the present invention as well as the advantages clearer for better understanding, it should be assessed with reference to the fallowing described figures.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the three-drum fisherman crane (1) being subject of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

Crane (1) of the invention mainly comprises a crane boom (7) whereon all crane (1) structure is mounted onto ship deck, a body (2) connected onto crane boom (7) motion and forming rotary housing for drums (6), fixed covers (5) forming rotary housing onto two drums (6) on the ends, opening-closing covers located on the drum on the drum (6) in the centre and capable to open and close when desired and cover connection (3) forming opening-closing connection of opening covers (4).

Fixed covers (5) on the crane (1) are connected to two drums (6) located on fixed covers (5) with housing. Cover connection (3) provides housing for the drum (6) in the centre as well as forms opening-closing mechanism of opening covers (4). Opening-closing of opening covers (4) at desired status enables winding of net onto crane at desired point and use thereof. Thus the net cast into sea as required by fishing and then collected back. Increasing operation speed considerably this system brings great advantage for fishermen.

Drums (6) are main components providing winding and release of fish net. Drums (6) housed between the body (2) and covers are structures capable to rotate in two directions. The Drums (6) are coated with rubber material in order to prevent deformation to occur in net and drums (6) themselves and to provide fast winding.

Said crane (1) is of structure capable to operate at deck level. Crane's(1) capability to work at deck level prevents potential sliding-release movements that might occur during release and drawing back the net and thus provides safe working environment.

Figure 1 shows open status of the crane (1). This status provides opening of open covers (4) from cover connection (3). Fishing net can be wound upon crane (1) from needed point and made ready for use at said status. After tying net to the crane (1) at desired point, opening covers (4) close and view shown in figure 2 is obtained. In the status where opening covers (4) are closed, opening covers (4) act as integral part with fixed covers (5) and work as a uniform cover closed onto the drum.
