Provided is a technology for combusting coke oven emission gases. In the present invention, coke oven emission gas is allowed to pass through the inside of a breeder pipe, and a combustion-promoting gas is blown through a blow pipe inserted between an inner wall of a hood and an outer wall of the bleeder pipe, the hood inner wall being arranged to be coaxial with the axis of an end of the bleeder pipe, with one end being open to the atmosphere side and the other end enveloping the end of the bleeder pipe, where one or more of the gas flow rate MJ [kg/s], the gas fluid velocity vJ [m/s], and the gas pressure PJ [Pa] of the combustion-promoting gas are adjusted so as to satisfy the following equation. {MJ/(MG+MD)} × {0.5 × vJ 2 + γ/(γ-1) × PJ/ρJ} ≥ 370000 × ln(d) + 2300000 (where MＧ is the emission gas flow rate [kg/s] inside the bleeder pipe, ＭD is a theoretical airflow amount [kg/s] required to combust the emission gases, γ is the specific heat ratio, ρJ is the density [kg/m３] of the combustion-promoting gas, and d is the inner diameter [m] of the blow pipe)
