The present invention is a device control system that is connected to a power grid network and that is provided with: a DC power supply; an electrical device that operates by receiving electrical power from the DC power supply connected by means of direct current and electrical power from the power grid network; a switching unit that is provided inside or outside the electrical device and that switches electrical power for operating the electrical device to either electrical power from the DC power supply or electrical power from an AC power network; and a control unit for controlling switching by the switching unit on the basis of a prescribed condition. According to the device control system, a device capable of using DC power and AC power can be used efficiently.
