Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for detecting the end of the lower thread of a sewing machine, in order to prevent defective quality and the need for reworking which arise from faulty stitching due to being unable to detect the depleted lower thread or cut lower thread during sewing work. The device for detecting the end of the lower thread of a sewing machine according to the present invention comprises: at least one pair consisting of a terminal for inputting a lower thread end detection signal and a terminal for outputting a lower thread end detection signal; contact means for electrically connecting the terminal for inputting a lower thread end detection signal to the terminal for outputting a lower thread end detection signal; contact function control means for enabling or disabling the function of the contact means, according to whether or not a lower thread that is wound at a lower thread end point of a lower thread bobbin is being unwound; and a control notification device for transmitting an electrical signal to the terminal for inputting a lower thread end detection signal, determining whether or not the end of a lower thread has been reached by analyzing an electrical signal received from the terminal for outputting a lower thread end detection signal, and outputting the results to a user.
