Title:
DEVICE FOR DETECTING ROTATIONAL POSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/119561
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A device for detecting a rotational position, which is small-sized, light-weight, and low in cost. A shift position detection section (12) for detecting the amount of rotation of a shift cam is attached to a power transmission section (11) having an input shaft (13) connected to the shift cam. A first gear (16) connected to the input shaft (13) is meshed with a second gear having a greater diameter than the first gear. A projection (19) is integrally provided on the second gear. The projection (19) is projected toward the shift position detection section (12) from an opening of a cover housing (11B) of the power transmission section (11) and fitted in a rotor (18) of the shift position detection section (12). A pair of brushes (23) is provided at a disc section placed at the forward end of the rotor (18). A conductor pattern (22) in sliding contact with the brushes (23) is provided on a cover housing (12B) of the shift position detection section (12). An electric signal obtained by the contact between the conductor pattern (22) and the brushes (23) is sent to an ECU via a connector terminal (24).
