Abstract:
[Problem] To generate a 2D code provided with an image such that code information can be reliably read and that has high design properties. [Solution] This 2D code generation device (1) is provided with: an initial 2D code generation unit (10) that generates an initial 2D code; a unit (32) that is for generating a 2D code provided with an image and that generates a 2D code provided with an image by applying the initial 2D code to a base image; a code test unit (33) that tests the readability of the 2D code provided with an image; and a code adjustment unit (20) that adjusts the initial 2D code. If the generated 2D code provided with an image fails to be read by the code test unit (33), the code adjustment unit (20) adjusts at least one parameter including color, brightness, transparency, and dot size in a manner so as to increase the probability of reading, the code test and code adjustment are repeated until the reading succeeds, and the 2D code provided with an image from when the reading succeeded is output.
