Abstract:
Disclosed are a device and method for automatically generating file names of documents according to the present invention. The device for automatically generating file names according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a file name generation unit which generates, through a standard file name generation process, standard file names that are in accordance with defined document management standard codes and that correspond to folder names of folders in which the files are stored; a standard file storage unit in which standard files, for which the standard file name generation process has been completed, are stored together with the standard file names; and a standard file transmission unit which transmits the standard files and the standard file names to the standard file storage unit, wherein the folders include the top layer folder and at least one lower layer folder of the top layer folder, and the standard file names are in a format in which the document management standard codes corresponding to the folder name of the top level folder and the folder name of the at least one lower level folder are sequentially arrayed.
