Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device (1) which is intended for placing an osteo-synthetic fixation member (20) and which is made in the form of a hollow body having a variable shape due to the introduction of an expansion member (30). The device includes a support (2) having its proximal end fitted with a retaining member which is used for temporarily retaining the fixation member (20) and which comprises an essentially axial guide (5) for axially introducing the expansion member (30) into the fixation member (20). The device further includes a pusher element (8) for pushing the expansion member (30) through the guide (5) of the support and for introducing the same into the fixation member (20) proximally arranged on the support.
