Abstract:
The invention relates to individual means for rescuing people from high-rise structures. The device for the self-rescue of a person from a high-rise structure comprises a housing, a rope, and securing means. The housing is in the form of a sleeve with openings and a sealed bottom, inside which the rope is arranged. The rope passes through the openings for the purpose of retarding the speed of descent. The rope is made from threads of a high-strength textile material and is impregnated with a viscous, heat and cold resistant, neutral, lubricating and cooling fluid. The rope is arranged in horizontal layers according to a scheme which prevents entanglement of the rope. The entire stack is secured by a diaphragm with a central opening for the passage of the rope. The upper part of the housing accommodates a unit of descent speed retarders. Said unit is provided with two speed-retarding openings: an opening for squeezing out fluid, and an opening for generating a vacuum in the cavity of the housing. Two additional retarders are accommodated in the housing: one in the form of a fixed spool with the rope, and the other in the form of a horizontally mounted rotating spool. The end of the spool is provided with teeth for interaction with the teeth of an anchor. The anchor is in the form of a symmetrical n-shaped plate. The outside end of the rope is provided with a damper.
