Provided is a diagnostic assistance device which generates, from two-dimensional images generated using an ultrasound transducer for transmitting ultrasound waves while moving inside biological tissue through which blood travels, a three-dimensional image of the movement range of the ultrasound transducer, said diagnostic assistance device being provided with a control unit which determines an upper bound of a third pixel number in accordance with the number of the two-dimensional images which are generated per unit of time, a first pixel number which is the number of pixels in a first direction of the three-dimensional image corresponding to the x-axis direction of the two-dimensional images, and a second pixel number which is the number of pixels in a second direction of the three-dimensional image corresponding to the y-axis direction of the two-dimensional images, the third pixel number being the number of pixels in a third direction of the three-dimensional image corresponding to the movement direction of the ultrasound transducer.
