Abstract:
A dielectric elastomer drive system A1 comprises: a dielectric elastomer drive unit 1 having a dielectric elastomer layer 11 and a pair of electrode layers 12 sandwiching the dielectric elastomer layer 11; and a power source unit 5 that applies a voltage to the dielectric elastomer drive unit 1, an electric charge removal unit 2 being provided to remove an electric charge accumulated in the elastomer drive unit 1. Such a configuration makes it possible to increase responsiveness.
