Abstract:
A diffractive optical element (101) has: a base body (102) that includes, on a surface, a first region (105) that is provided with a diffraction grating; and a second region (106) positioned outside of the first region; and an optical adjustment layer (103) that is provided on the surface such that the optical adjustment layer is in contact with the first region (105) and at least a part of the second region (106). At least a part of the optical adjustment layer (103) part in contact with the second region (106) is provided with a thin film part (107) having a smaller film thickness than a maximum film thickness of the optical adjustment layer (103) part in contact with the second region (106).
