An embodiment in some embodiments of the present application relates to the technical field of optical fiber communications, and provides a digital diagnosis information acquisition method and device and an optical module. According to the method provided by the embodiment of the present application, an instruction for acquiring digital diagnosis information is triggered to be sent outwards by means of a digital diagnosis information acquisition enable flag bit, and the instruction is loaded into exit light in a low-frequency modulation signal mode and does not conflict with a normal data communication service; when the digital diagnosis information is received, an upper computer is prompted to read by means of a digital diagnosis information acquisition success flag bit, after the upper computer reads, an optical module is prompted by means of the digital diagnosis information acquisition success flag bit that the acquisition of the digital diagnosis information has been completed, and the optical module modifies the digital diagnosis information acquisition enable flag bit to stop the execution of the method. According to the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present application, the acquisition of the digital diagnosis information of a far-end optical module can be implemented.
