Abstract:
This directional coupler device (100) splits an input signal received at an input terminal (TI) into four signals and outputs these four signals at output terminals (TO1-TO4). The directional coupler device comprises couplers (CP1-CP3) and phasers (PH1, PH2). The coupler (CP1), which is connected to the input terminal (TI), splits the input signal into two signals and outputs these two signals to terminals (T1, T2). The coupler (CP2) splits the signal from the terminal (T1) into two signals and outputs these two signals to the output terminals (TO1, TO2). The coupler (CP1) splits the signal from the terminal (T2) into two signals and outputs these two signals to the output terminals (TO3, TO4). The phaser (PH1), which is connected between the terminal (T1) and the coupler (CP2), advances the phase of the signal from the terminal (T1). The phaser (PH2), which is connected between the terminal (T2) and the coupler (CP3), delays the phase of the signal from the terminal (T2). The phase difference between the output signals of the phasers (PH1, PH2) is 180 ± 10 degrees.
