Abstract:
Provided are a discharge control method for a lithium-ion secondary battery and a lithium-ion secondary battery system by which it is possible to mitigate an increase in resistance at the end stage of discharge and by which it is possible to increase the extraction capacity. This discharge control method for a lithium-ion secondary battery is a method for controlling the discharge of a lithium-ion secondary battery comprising: a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer with a thickness of 250μm or greater; a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer with a thickness of 250μm or greater; and a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Said method comprises: a pause step for pausing the energization of the lithium-ion secondary battery during discharge; and a resumption step of resuming the energization of the lithium-ion secondary battery for which energization was paused.
