The present invention relates to novel Akkermansia muciniphila AK32 and a composition comprising same for the prevention or treatment of intestinal injury. The strain of the present invention, Akkermansia muciniphila AK32 (accession number: KCTC 14172BP), increases the number of goblet cells and crypt depth in the small intestine, promotes the expression of genes associated with proliferation of enterocytes, and is effective in restoration and growth of small intestinal tissue and small intestinal organoids, and thus is effective for manufacturing of food, drugs, intestinal regulators, probiotics, and the like.
