The present invention relates to the technical field of disinfection and sterilization, and in particular to a disinfection and sterilization system having a high-energy particle decomposition module, and a disinfection and sterilization method. The disinfection and sterilization system comprises: a disinfection and sterilization module, an air guide module, and a high-energy particle decomposition module; the disinfection and sterilization module kills viruses spread via aerosols in air by utilizing a disinfection and sterilization substance, disinfected airflows carrying the disinfection and sterilization substance enters the high-energy particle decomposition module under the action of the air guide module, and the high-energy particle decomposition module decomposes the disinfection and sterilization substance to convert same into a harmless substance. By disinfecting and sterilizing air in a space in a closed or semi-closed gathering place, aerosols can be broken, and bacteria and viruses in air and micro-droplets can be killed, thereby solving the problems of insufficient capability of killing aerosol-state transmitted viruses and secondary harm to people.
