Abstract:
A disorder-based polarization-independent angle-variable tuning local optical filter and a design method therefor. Continuous tuning of channel wavelengths is realized by changing the incidence angle of light, and the channel wavelengths are independent from polarization. The design of a local optical filter is based on any one non-zero incidence angle, the disorder of a reflector-cavity structure is adjusted, and orthogonal polarization intensity separation degrees are used as the criteria of a disorder adjustment effect. Based on a plurality of optimization processes for the disorder of the reflector-cavity structure, the orthogonal polarization intensity separation degrees at the channel wavelengths are all close to 0, and orthogonal polarization intensity separation degrees outside the channel wavelengths are all close to 1. As for transmission performance, orthogonal polarization transmittances at the channel wavelengths are all close to 1, and orthogonal polarization transmittances outside the channel wavelengths are all close to 0. The reflector-cavity structure at least corresponds to one kind of physical implementation of a layered medium structure and can satisfy the requirements of different application scenarios very well.
