Abstract:
This display device is provided with: a display part that has two display panel parts each having a display-side inclined surface section in the vicinity of the outer edge of a display surface, the two display panel parts being disposed in parallel such that the respective display-side inclined surface sections face each other at a joint between the adjacent two display panel parts and a gap region is formed between the display-side inclination surface sections; and at least one light transmission part that is configured by a material having a light transmission property so as to protrude toward the adjacent display panel part from the display-side inclined surface section in the gap region. The light transmission part has, in the gap region, a light transmission-side inclined surface that is inclined from one side to the other side in the thickness direction of the display panel part as going in an arrangement direction in which the adjacent display panel parts are arranged. Consequently, a display device in which a joint portion can be made less noticeable by utilizing a gap region at a joint between adjacent display panels can be provided.
