Abstract:
Provided are a gate-in-panel display device and a method for driving same whereby deterioration of thin-film transistors during rest periods is prevented. At the end of each drive period, an active clear signal (H_CLR) is supplied to the gate terminals of a thin-film transistor (T2) connected to a first node (netA) and a thin-film transistor (T6) connected to a second node (netB) in each unit circuit, thereby turning said thin-film transistors on. This sets the voltages at the first and second nodes to a reference voltage. As such, even with long rest periods, this prevents the gate terminals of other thin-film transistors (T5, T11) from being subjected to voltages for long periods of time, thereby preventing the threshold voltages thereof from shifting.
