Abstract:
Provided is a display device that has a non-rectangular display unit, wherein the occurrence of luminance difference between a region with a large load and a region with a small load is suppressed. The region in the display unit is divided into a high-load region in which the load of horizontal scanning lines (initialization control line, writing control line) is large and a low-load region in which the load of horizontal scanning lines is small. The initialization control line and the writing control line that are disposed in the high-load region are respectively driven by a discharge driver and a scan driver. The initialization control line and the writing control line that are disposed in the low-load region are both driven by, for example, a discharge driver.
