Abstract:
The present invention implements, with a small number of elements, a sensing function-equipped pixel circuit capable of a sensing operation and a display operation in a simultaneous parallel manner. A sensor circuit (22) connected to a control node (NG) and comprising three or less circuit elements, and a readout circuit (24) connected to a second conduction terminal of a driving transistor (T4) and comprising one readout transistor (T9) are provided to correspond to each pixel circuit (20). Sensing processing is performed during a period when a driving current is being supplied to an organic EL element (21) according to the potential of the control node (NG). In a predetermined period after the completion of the sensing processing, sensing result readout processing is performed by keeping the readout transistor (T9) in an on-state.
