Abstract:
In this display device comprising an organic EL element OLED, a p-channel type switching transistor T8 having a conductive terminal connected to a channel region of a p-channel type driving transistor T4 is provided. Accordingly, when a white image is displayed on the display device, a hole trapped at a trap level of the channel region of the p-channel type driving transistor T4 is extracted through the switching transistor T8 to an initialization line Vini. As a result, since driving current corresponding to a data voltage flows through the driving transistor T4, a residual image would not be visually recognized even if a gray image is displayed in an immediately subsequent frame.
