The present invention facilitates position control for an end portion of a non-rectangular portion of an organic film which covers the display region of this display device and the plane shape of which is substantially rectangular. A dam portion (200) is positioned along the edge of the organic film and provided with a wall surface facing the display region side. The substantial rectangle has a shape provided with a chamfered portion (210) forming an outline that is tilted with respect to a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction by rectangles formed by sides along the first direction and sides along the second direction. The wall surface (200w) comprises a plurality of first partial wall surfaces (200x) along the first direction and a plurality of second partial wall surfaces (200y) along the second direction. The plurality of first partial wall surfaces (200x) each have a length that is an integer multiple of a first unit length. The plurality of second partial wall surfaces (200y) each have a length that is an integer multiple of a second unit length. In the chamfered portion (210) of the substantial rectangle, the first partial wall surfaces (200x) and the second partial wall surfaces (200y) are connected in a zigzag manner.
