A display device (10) is configured to display towards the viewing side. The display device (10) comprises: a plurality of display units (11a-e) that emits display light; and a mirror plate (21) that is provided as one component for the plurality of display units (11a-e), arranged so as to direct the display light from the display units (11a-e) to the viewing side, and includes a plurality of laminated layers. The plurality of layers include: a base material layer (22); an optical function-imparting layer (23) that has a heat-induced dimensional change characteristic such that it shrinks more easily than the base material layer (22) and imparts an optical function to the mirror plate (21); and balancer layers (25a, 25b) that are disposed opposite the optical function-imparting layer (23) so as to sandwich the base material layer (22) therebetween and have a heat-induced dimensional change characteristic closer to the optical function-imparting layer (23) than the base material layer (22) so as to balance the stress with the optical function-imparting layer (23) side.
