Abstract:
Provided is a display system that can make VR goggles lightweight and improve visibility. A display system according to an embodiment of the present invention is for displaying an image to a user, and comprises: a display element having a display surface that emits, forward through a polarizing member, light representing an image; a reflective polarizing member that is disposed in front of the display element and reflects light emitted from the display element; a first lens unit disposed on the optical path between the display element and the reflective polarizing member; a half-mirror that is disposed between the display element and the first lens unit, transmits light emitted from the display element, and reflects light reflected by the reflective polarizing member toward the reflective polarizing member; a first λ/4 member disposed on the optical path between the display element and the half-mirror; a second λ/4 member disposed on the optical path between the half-mirror and the reflective polarizing member; and a protective member disposed on the optical path between the display element and the half-mirror, wherein a space is formed between the protective member and the half-mirror, and the protective member has a maximum value of the 30° positive reflectance spectrum in the wavelength range of 420-680 nm of 1.4% or lower.
