Abstract:
Provided is a disposable absorbent article whereby fecal excretion can be readily ascertained from outside. A diaper (1) which is the disposable absorbent article includes: a crotch inner-surface sheet (28) positioned on a skin-facing surface; a crotch outer-surface sheet (29) positioned on a non-skin-facing surface; and a liquid-absorbing structure (80) interposed between these crotch inner- and outer-surface sheets (28, 29). The diaper (1) has a total light transmittance from the crotch outer-surface sheet (29) to the crotch inner-surface sheet (28) of 15%-65%. The liquid-absorbing structure (80) has a longitudinal direction (Y), a width direction (X), and a depth direction (W) and comprises two first and second sheets (81, 82) that overlap each other, and absorbent polymer particles (84) interposed between the first and second sheets (81, 82). A present region (85) where the absorbent polymer particles (84) are present and an absent region (86) where the absorbent polymer particles (84) are not present are arranged alternately in the longitudinal direction (Y). The first sheet (81) and the second sheet (82) are bonded in the absent region (86).
