Abstract:
The present invention provides a diverting agent that demonstrates plug dissolubility due to biodegradability and can therefore be quickly eliminated after a prescribed amount of time has passed but that also has excellent ability to occlude fissures in a well. This diverting agent is 10–70 mass% particles that have a particle diameter of at least 1,700 μm, 20–80 mass% particles that have a particle diameter of at least 500 μm but less than 1,700 μm, and 5–40 mass% particles that have a particle diameter of less than 250 μm. At least 10 mass% of the diverting agent is a biodegradable resin.
