Abstract:
To notify, using minimal power consumption, a low-side control unit of an abnormality detection signal. Provided is a drive circuit for a semiconductor device, the drive circuit comprising: a control unit that generates a control signal according to an input signal; a first level shift unit that increases the level of the signal from the control unit; a high-side drive unit that controls the semiconductor device on the basis of the control signal for which the level was increased by the first level shift unit; and a second level shift unit that reduces the level of the signal from the high-side drive unit and inputs the result into the control unit. The high-side drive unit has an abnormality detection unit that outputs an abnormality detection signal when the semiconductor device is in an abnormal state, and maintains the output of the abnormality detection signal until a cancel signal is input. The control unit has an abnormality processing unit that outputs a cancel signal to the high-side drive unit via the first level shift unit when an abnormality detection signal has been input via the second level shift unit. When a cancel signal has been input, the abnormality detection unit stops the output of the abnormality detection signal.
