Abstract:
Desired is a drive control device wherein the total ripple current coming from a first inverter and a second inverter is reduced, to reduce the amount of heat to be generated by a capacitor and DC power supply lines. Provided is a drive control device for controlling a drive apparatus that is equipped with: a first inverter connected to a first motor; a second inverter connected to a second motor; a common DC power supply; and a capacitor connected in parallel to the DC power supply. The drive control device is also provided with: a first control-signal generating unit for carrying out ON/OFF control of switching elements of the first inverter, by pulse width modulation that uses a first carrier wave; a second control-signal generating unit for carrying out ON/OFF control of switching elements of the second inverter, by pulse width modulation that uses a second carrier wave having the same frequency as the first carrier wave; and a carrier phase control unit for shifting, when both the two motors are in power running state or regeneration state, the phases of the first carrier wave and the second carrier wave so that the carrier waves will have a 1/4 cycle phase difference therebetween.
