Abstract:
Disclosed are a droplet confinement-based laser shock method and an application thereof. High-temperature suspended droplets or droplets on the surfaces of room-temperature hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coatings are used as confinement layers, and while achieving plasma confinement by using the droplets, pulsed laser is subjected to secondary focusing on the near surface of a target by using the laser focusing characteristics of the droplets, to increase the laser energy density and the laser shock pressure, thereby realizing droplet enhancement-based laser shock. The method can achieve high-flexibility, non-contact, residue-free and accurate laying of the confinement layers at room temperature and high temperature, and can effectively improve the laser shock effect, and is thus suitable for the fields of large-size surface laser shock peening, laser shock imprinting and composite manufacturing at room temperature and high temperature.
