In the control method, an operation process of a household appliance is divided into a plurality of operation stages according to an execution sequence; a control module reads an instruction number Mo stored in an NFC tag; the control module acquires an instruction corresponding to an operation stage of the household appliance corresponding to the instruction number Mo; the control module deletes the instruction number Mo stored in the NFC tag; the control module writes a new instruction number Mn to the NFC tag; and a household appliance operation state corresponding to the new instruction number Mn is a next operation stage corresponding to the operation stage of the household appliance corresponding to the instruction number Mo. By touching the same NFC tag multiple times, a user allows the household appliance to execute a plurality of instructions according to the execution sequence, to complete a complete control for the household appliance, and the user does not need to use a plurality of NFC tags, such that household appliance cost is reduced, the operation process of the user is simplified, and it is convenient to use.
