Abstract:
An elevating&sol lowering mechanism of elevator comprising two sets of hoists (22, 24) for elevating&sol lowering the cage (8) for elevator and a counterweight (10), controllers (26, 28) for controlling rotation of the two sets of hoists (22, 24) independently, and a looped rope (30) passed around the two sets of hoists (22, 24) respectively. At one of two opposite positions between the two sets of hoists (22, 24), the rope (30) is passed around the pulley (14) of the cage (8) in order to suspend it. At the other position, the rope (30) is passed around the pulley (16) of the counterweight (10) in order to suspend it.
