Abstract:
This echo canceler (10) is provided with: a pseudo echo calculation unit (32) which acquires present and past filter coefficient groups that were used in an adaptive filter unit (20) and calculates multiple pseudo echo signals by subjecting a series of received signals (x(n)) to filter calculations that use said present and past filter coefficient groups; a transmission signal buffer which outputs a past transmission signal (y(n-1)); an evaluation value calculation unit (34) which uses the past transmission signal to calculate multiple echo cancellation amount evaluation values; a filter selection unit (36) which selects a new filter coefficient group on the basis of multiple echo cancellation amount evaluation values; a foreground filter (39) which generates an estimated echo component by subjecting the series of the received signals (x(n)) to filter calculations using the new filter coefficient group; and a subtractor (25) which generates a residual signal (e(n)) by subtracting the estimated echo components from the transmission signal.
