Abstract:
An electric compressor (ECP) comprises a housing (10), a rotary shaft (20), a compression unit (30), and an electric motor (50). The housing includes an inner housing (16) which accommodates at least a part of the electric motor and to which a stator is affixed, an outer housing (12) in which a refrigerant intake port (127) is formed, and an ejection housing (14) affixed to the outer housing. The outer housing and the inner housing are spaced apart in at least a part of a section where the outer housing and the inner housing overlap in the radial direction of the rotary shaft. The outer housing and the inner housing have a structure in which a refrigerant flowing from the intake port into the interior of the outer housing flows through a gap space (164) formed between the inner housing and the outer housing and is then suctioned into the compression unit.
