Abstract:
An electric locking rotary joint, comprising an electric motor (1), a shaft joint and a ball joint, wherein the electric motor (1) is an electric motor with two output shafts or an electric motor with a single output shaft; corresponding to each electric motor shaft, a housing (2) of the shaft joint or a housing (3) of the ball joint is fixedly connected to the body of the electric motor (1); and a locking and loosening mechanism of the shaft joint or the ball joint is fixedly connected to the electric motor shaft, and locking and loosening of the shaft joint or the ball joint is controlled by means of the on/off and forward/reverse rotation of the electric motor (1). The rotary joint is easy and flexible to control, and is simple in terms of system. In addition, since the electric motor (1) is connected between rod-shaped members in series, the volume and weight of the rotary joint are relatively small, thereby significantly improving the performance of a rod-shaped series connection mechanism, especially the performance of mechanisms such as an endoscope support.
