Abstract:
Provided are an electric motor, an automotive power apparatus provided with said electric motor, a generator, and a generator-equipped wheel bearing provided with said generator, whereby a stator coil having a large cross-sectional area can be used while increasing the facing area of a rotor magnet and a stator, restrictions on the dimensions in the radial and axial directions can be met, and output can be improved. The electric motor (1) is an outer-rotor motor. A stator core (4) is divided into an annular part (7) and a plurality of teeth (8). The circumferential width of the distal portion of each tooth (8) is greater than the circumferential width of a main part of the tooth, and a plurality of engaging grooves that have a cross-sectional shape comprising a narrowed section at the opening side of the groove and that extend in the axial direction are formed in the outer circumferential surface of the annular part (7) along the circumferential direction. Engaging parts (8c) that have a cross-sectional shape which engages with the engaging grooves, that are inserted in the axial direction into the engaging grooves in the annular part (7), and that engage with the engaging grooves in a manner preventing dislodgement of the teeth (8) from the annular part (7) in the radial direction are provided at the proximal portions of the teeth (8). The maximum circumferential width of each engaging part (8c) is less than the circumferential width of the main part of the tooth.
