Abstract:
In an electric power steering apparatus according to the present invention, a control unit is provided with: a power module that has a plurality of switching elements for supplying current to a motor winding wire of a motor; a control board from which a control signal is outputted to the switching elements; a heat sink to which the power module is attached and which radiates heat generated at the switching elements; a housing that constitutes the outer shell of the control unit; a power source connector; and a signal connector. The control board is disposed in parallel with the axial direction of an output shaft of the motor. A projected part is formed on the bottom of the housing on the counter-output side so as to project to the counter-output side. An end of the control board on the counter-output side is inserted into the projected part. The power source connector and the signal connector are disposed on the outer wall surface of the bottom at a region away from the projected part.
