Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a vector-control-method electric power steering device that compensates for the dead time of an inverter, that also compensates for motor reverse voltage and for interference voltage caused by the mutual inductance of motor windings, that improves current waveform distortion and current control responsiveness, and that suppresses sound, vibration, and ripple. [Solution] An electric power steering device: that, using a current command value calculated on the basis of at least steering torque, performs drive control of a 3-phase brushless motor that applies assist torque to a steering mechanism of a vehicle; that converts, into 3 phases, a dq-axis command value generated by converting the current command value and performs vector control via an inverter; and that is provided with a dq-axis disturbance observer that compensates for disturbance voltage for each axis of the dq-axis command value, including for the dead time of the inverter, or with the dq-axis disturbance observer and a spatial vector modulation unit.
