Abstract:
Provided are an electrical connection member material and an electrical connection member that are capable of suppressing adhesion on an Ag layer without using a special metal layer. An electrical connection member material 1 has: a metal material 10 that has an Ag layer 13 having a surface hardness of 90 HV or more on the surface thereof; and a coating layer 2 that covers the surface of the metal material 10, wherein the coating layer 2 is formed as a result of an organic compound having a mercapto group being brought into contact with the surface of the metal material 10. In addition, this electrical connection member is configured so as to include the electrical connection member material 1.
