Title:
ELECTRICITY STORAGE DEVICE, USE THEREOF, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/056536
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Opposing electrode pairs (18a-18c, 24a-24c) are formed across separators (36a-36c).
The separators (36a-36c) are porous, and thus a nonaqueous electrolyte solution
(12) can flow inside the separators (36a-36c). In an electricity storage device
(10), a catalyst adheres to some regions of the surfaces of the constituting members,
which regions are in direct contact with the nonaqueous electrolyte solution.
Namely, catalysts (26b, 26c, 26f) respectively adhere to the surfaces of electrode
active material layers (16a-16c), and catalyst (26a, 26d, 26e) respectively
adhere to the surfaces of electrode active material layers (20a-20c). The catalysts
(26a-26f) does not decompose the nonaqueous electrolyte solution, but decomposes
water.
