Abstract:
This electrochemical cell comprises: a power generation element; a package; and a terminal. The power generation element comprises: a negative electrode; a positive electrode; and a separator disposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer. The negative electrode active material layer includes: a first region having a silicon layer located on the surface of the negative electrode current collector and a first carbon-based material layer located on the surface of the silicon layer; and a second region located on the surface of the negative electrode current collector and having a second carbon-based material layer continuous to the first carbon-based material layer.
